Juuka - what to do during your visit

 

  • Buy local hand-made ceramics, for which Juuka is famous for.
  • Enjoy the unique historic milieu of Puu-Juuka, the old wood-built town quarter, and visit its highlight, the Mill Museum along the beautiful Herralankoski Rapids.
  • Admire the fascinating Koli, Finland’s oldest holiday destination just outside the borders of Juuka.

Leaflets and general information for tourists are available in the entrance hall of Juuka Town Hall (Poikolantie 1, 83900 Juuka). At the Town Hall’s information counter there are also road and hiking maps as well as Juuka and Koli view postcards for sale.

Leaflets are also available at the service station Kolinportti (Kolintie 10, 83950 Ahmovaara), which is located at the intersection of Highway 6 and Kolintie.

Summertime: Tourist info is arranged in the so called Stone Center, located in Nunnanlahti, Juuka, right by the road number 6. Stone Center is open from June 25th to July 31th, monday to friday, 11AM to 5Pm Address of the place is Kuhnustantie 10, 83900 Juuka.
