The Peak of Napakallio and the Valkealampi route

The Napakallio peak is accessible after hiking for about 3 kilometres past the yard of Koli Freetime. The path is wide, smooth, covered with grass and most importantly, it’s lit up if you want to admire the scenery at night. Past the steep rises along the path, you are rewarded with a vista of the beautiful landscape of Koli. On your way back, you will be offered many opportunities to sit down and relax, enjoying the beautiful melodies of nightingales and more. The path also continues towards Koli, offering a 8.5km long hiking route for the adventurous hiker.

There is also a hiking path around the Valkealampi –pond, which passes by idyllic lakes and forests. This path becomes quiet narrow at times and offers access to wet grounds through causeways. The rising spring water during the summers leaves the ground quiet mushy and gumboots/ rain boots or waterproof shoes are advisable. The combination go the wetlands and forest encourage multiple plant species to flourish and these can be admired from above using bridges located along the route.
