The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Juuka (Juuan evankelis-luterilainen kirkko) was built in the 18th century during the years of 1850-1851 and was ceremonically inaugurated into use on the 10th of July, 1859. The church was designed by architect C. A. Gustavsson, however the belfry was built and installed by the people of Juuka in 1796. With a seating capacity of 800, the church contains a copy of A. Von Becker's work "Christ on a cross" (Kristus ristillä) and it's made by Kaarlo Kiljander (1885). The 22 tube wind organ within this beautiful church was made by the organ factory of Kangasala in the year 1974.
